Circumcision
- 1. It is a surgical removal of foreskin of penis
- 2. It is done under local anesthesia and hence painless
- 3. Patient is sent home within few hours of surgery and does not need hospitalization

- a. Tight and painful foreskin (Phimosis).
- b. Repeated attacks of infection in diabetics (Balanoposthitis).

- 7. After the surgery, patient can be back to work next day but advised to have no sexual activity for 30 days
- 8. Post operative care –
- a. Patient can have normal meals
- b. Small dressing to be removed next day and allowed to have complete bath
- c. Patient can pass urine normally.
- d. Patient to wear loose clothings for 7 days
- e. Antiseptic ointment is to be applied at the operation site for 10 days
- 9. One should report to the hospital, if there is excess swelling or bleeding, which may happen rarely.
